Support Groups
The TACID Center includes a large multi purpose room, two classrooms, a resource room and a lounge/library for group meetings and other activities. Groups representing many disabilities meet here free-of-charge.
Click here for the TACID Disability and Support Group Calendar. The groups listed range from “A” Autism Society almost through Z” Women’s Issues.
Most major disabilities are represented: physical, sensory (deafness and blindness), developmental and mental health. Some groups are facilitated by TACID staff or volunteers. Others are run by members of the particular organization themselves. In most cases you can just show up, but it is a good idea to contact the person named on the calendar first. Most groups are free of charge but some have a small membership fee. Unless otherwise stated, all groups meet at the TACID Center.
If you want to reserve a room for your disability support group meetings click here.
